The Pioneer development team are pleased to announce the release of Pioneer Alpha 22. Its been a month for gameplay and engine tweaks, with improvements to system generation, mining, hyperspace and the usual slew of fixes. Alpha 21 released

This month we revive a couple of favourites from the old games, the original systems from Elite and the targeting tunnels from Frontier. Featured this month is an in-system fuel model (don't run out!), beautiful new thruster and laser graphics and new heading-hold flight mode. The Pioneer development team are pleased to announce the release of Pioneer Alpha 19. Featured this month is the sidereal camera (a camera that remains stationary relative to your ship) and a detailed heightmap for the Moon. Use them together for great screenshots! The Pioneer development team are pleased to announce the release of Pioneer Alpha 18. A quiet release this month as befits the end of a quiet holiday period for the Pioneer team. New in this release are a few nice graphical tweaks, including multisampled-antialiasing, and a smattering of fixes and tweaks. In this release you'll find a smarter autopilot, passenger taxi missions, graphical fixes on Intel GPUs and a galaxy filled with Christmas cheer. Alpha 16 released

The Pioneer development team are pleased to announce the release of Pioneer Alpha 16. Builds for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux are available for download from the download page. This release mainly focuses on cleanups, with a huge number of bugs, memory leaks and stability problems fixed. Of course we always have to include a few new features so you'll also find cargo scooping, an improved HUD and a couple of new ships.

This release contains a huge amount of new stuff, including star terrains, new ships, stations and buildings, new music and new translations.
Alpha 15 is dedicated to the memory of Dennis Ritchie (1941-2011).
