Re: Star Sector Economy

Dwarden on IRC posted this presentation of the game "Starsector Review | Explore the Cosmos™ | Ruin Everything™" https://youtu.be/acqpulP1hLo Looks like they have so much impressive game mechanics, some of it could fit into pioneer, like "harvested organs" as illegal goods, trade contracts, and much...

Re: Mini Cheap Converted Orbital Starports

So this is a bulk ship?

Yeah, I also dream about bulk ships (full-stop?) where some can be converted to space station, i.e. some docking ports.

Re: PBR Rendering Rewrite

Didn't we say that GPL allows the original author to re-use their code under other licenses? I.e. there's no problem you writing code in GPL for pioneer, and then re-use that code in your own non-free project, under some other license?

Re: Moving files in Git

Even git mv just moves them with a commit
Well, yes, just doing a chmod on a file will create a commit, but as long as it's not removing all old code, and creating all code anew, then it's fine, and git mv should behave sanely.

Any example of such a PR?

Re: Compiling Pioneer for Raspberry Pi (ARM)

I went through some videos last night on the Pi4, I think this had some interesting benchmarks (second half):

Re: PBR Rendering Rewrite

Just a note before I go any further: this is going to be a long project, potentially spanning multiple months to implement. Haha! "months" is not long. The "move from OldUI/C++" has been going on for +5 years. If this will be measured in "months", then that would be most amazing! However, I am conf...

Re: Compiling Pioneer for Raspberry Pi (ARM)

New Raspberry out: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspberry-pi-4-on-sale-now-from-35/ One notable step forward is that for Raspberry Pi 4, we are retiring the legacy graphics driver stack used on previous models. Instead, we’re using the Mesa “V3D” driver developed by Eric Anholt at Broadcom over ...

Re: Moving files in Git

Well, "git status" before commit should show if git correctly understood that the files have just been "renamed" which is what git calls a moved file, I think.

Code: Select all

git mv <from> <to>
